Relay Technical Transport returns to Don-Bur for specialist equipment trailers

Relay Technical Transport specialises in the final-mile delivery of delicate and high-value equipment, including photocopiers and other electronic systems, typically using two-person delivery crews.

The 13.6m tri-axle trailers combine Don-Bur's 'Blade' panel construction with bespoke internal load restraint arrangements tailored to protect high-value equipment during transit.

To meet the specific requirements of photocopier transport, the trailers incorporate four rows of Loadlok track fitted to each side wall and the front bulkhead. Carpet-lined wooden buffer strips run the full length of the body sides and bulkhead, helping to prevent movement and protect equipment during loading and distribution.

Each trailer is also fitted with a 3-tonne cantilever tail-lift, enabling safe and efficient handling of heavy machinery without reliance on loading docks.

Finished in a distinctive pearl blue paint scheme, the trailers incorporate a range of practical features to support day-to-day distribution operations.

The order continues Relay Technical Transport's relationship with Don-Bur, following a previous supply in 2023. The latest specification reflects operational experience from the earlier trailers and highlights how standard trailer platforms can be adapted to meet precise operational requirements.
