The New Generation DAF XB is named ‘Best Truck’ in the light distribution category at the Fleet News Awards 2025 in London. It marks the eighth consecutive year that DAF Trucks has received recognition at the prestigious Fleet News Awards.

The New Generation DAF XB series is designed for city and regional distribution, offering chassis options from 7.5 to 19 tonnes GVW. The Day, Extended Day, and Sleeper Cabs deliver class-leading comfort. The series is powered by efficient PACCAR PX-5 and PX-7 diesel engines (170 to 310 hp), and also comprises fully electric versions (120 or 190 kW) for zero-emission operations. This combination of chassis flexibility, cab variety, and advanced powertrains makes the DAF XB a standout solution for diverse transport needs.

‘Everything you want’

The Fleet News Awards judges praised the DAF XB for its exceptional performances in the highly competitive 7.5-tonne category. Their comments highlighted the truck’s best-in-class payload and its outstanding manoeuvrability – making it the ideal choice for urban fleet operations. “Everything you want in a fleet truck in this category is fulfilled by the DAF XB”, said the judges. “In addition, the award winning truck is supported by the outstanding DAF dealer network and comprehensive aftersales services.”
