HGV Traders is operated by BST Digital Ltd, 6 Dock Place, Edinburgh, EH6 6LU, United Kingdom.

We are the data controller for personal information processed through the HGV Traders website and dealer dashboard.

2. Data we collect

  • Account details: name, email, phone number, organisation information.
  • Listing and profile data: stock adverts, business profiles, job and event posts.
  • Enquiry data: messages, buyer intent, verification status.
  • Payment data: billing information processed by Stripe (we do not store full card numbers).
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, cookies, usage logs.
  • Communications: support requests and email notifications sent via Resend.

3. How we use your data

  • Provide and operate the marketplace and dealer dashboard.
  • Authenticate users and manage sessions (Auth.js).
  • Process subscriptions and spotlight payments (Stripe).
  • Send transactional and service emails (Resend).
  • Store listing images and files (Cloudflare R2).
  • Index listings for search (Meilisearch).
  • Verify buyers via phone OTP where enabled (Twilio).
  • Improve security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

5. Sharing and processors

We use trusted subprocessors including hosting (Vercel, Neon Postgres), Stripe, Resend, Cloudflare R2, Meilisearch, Twilio, and Anthropic (for optional AI features). Data is shared only as needed to deliver the service.

We do not sell personal data. Enquiry details are shared with the relevant dealer when you contact a listing.

6. Retention

We retain account and listing data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, tax, and dispute purposes.

You may request deletion subject to exceptions where we must retain data by law.

7. Your rights

To exercise your rights, email privacy@hgvtraders.com. We respond within one month where required by law.

  • Access, rectify, or erase your personal data.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
