European Whole Vehicle Type Approval for Volta Trucks

Volta Trucks, the innovative electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, have reached another major milestone for the production of their 16-tonne all-electric Volta Zero vehicle by receiving the critical European Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA). The certification is given to guarantee that the Volta Zero meets safety, security, and environmental standards. 

As part of this milestone, second-generation 'Production Verification' prototypes will soon be handed to customers across Europe in order to let them have extended trials of the vehicle and learn how it can be easily adapted into their own operations. To make sure the vehicle conforms to the stringent regulations, Volta Trucks enlisted the aid of ATEEL UK Ltd and ATEEL S.à r.l., the international Technical Service, and SNCH, The Société Nationale de Certification et d’Homologation, the Luxembourg approval authority. They confirmed that the vehicle passed rigorous tests concerning safety, steering, glazing, and lighting systems.

In early Q2 2023, commercial-grade Volta Zeros will be produced by the company's contract facility in Steyr, Austria. CEO of Volta Trucks, Essa Al-Saleh expressed his delight at the news; ",It's a massive victory for Volta Trucks and our mission to make our cities safer and less polluted.
