Fontaine Fifth Wheel Europe to showcase coupling technology at RTX 2026
The company said its presence at the Stoneleigh show reflects its continued focus on practical fleet solutions designed to support day-to-day transport operations.
Among the products on display will be the 3000FFH dual-height air-operated fifth wheel, which allows operators to adjust coupling height to suit different trailer configurations.
Fontaine said the air-operated system reduces the need for manual intervention during coupling operations, helping improve safety while reducing driver fatigue.
Also featured will be the 150SP2 fifth wheel mounted on 230mm feet and fitted with Fontaine’s Green Eye coupling safety system on an air-operated slider configuration.
The Green Eye system provides a visual indication confirming correct trailer coupling engagement, helping reduce the risk of incorrect trailer attachment and speeding up safety checks.
Fontaine said the mounting arrangement also increases installation flexibility across different chassis layouts.
Completing the display will be the company’s 20008884 landing leg with integrated compensator, designed to improve trailer stability during coupling and uncoupling operations.
The compensator system is intended to help accommodate uneven ground conditions, improving load distribution and reducing stress on equipment during yard operations.
Steve Marshall, UK sales manager for Fontaine Fifth Wheel Europe, said: “It’s great to be back once again at Road Transport Expo. “It’s a really important event in the UK transport calendar and gives us the opportunity to meet customers face to face and demonstrate our latest innovations.”
Fontaine Fifth Wheel Europe will exhibit on stand G23 from 30 June to 2 July.
