Scania Top Team UK 2025: Keltruck Newark Novices
Scania dealer Keltruck's Newark team have made it through to the Top Team European finals after being crowned the Top Team 2025 UK winners. The next stage of the competition will be hosted in Verona, Italy in September. Dubbed the ‘Newark Novices’, the team includes parts supervisor, Jon Hind; workshop controller, Lewis Cawthorne; and technicians, Mark White, Ian Spafford and Daniel Russel.

Russ Warner, services director and shareholder of Keltruck said: “I’m absolutely delighted that our Newark branch team – the ‘Newark Novices’ – have been named UK Top Team finalists in yesterday’s competition.

“This fantastic achievement now propels them to the European stage, bringing them one step closer to the world finals – a stage Keltruck has proudly reached in the past. I’m incredibly proud of the team’s dedication, skill and teamwork which truly reflect the spirit of Keltruck. Let’s keep the momentum going – I’m backing you all the way to go one better this time and bring home the win!”

Scania’s Top Team competition is a global effort from teams of three to five service professionals. Typically, teams include technicians, service advisors and parts specialists who go through multiple rounds of challenges to assess their knowledge, expertise and teamwork.

It’s estimated around 8000 service and parts specialists from 79 countries compete. Regional finals are held in Europe, the Americas, Asia, Oceania and Africa before 12 teams progress to the world finals in Södertälje, Sweden. When the teams are whittled down to the last four, Scania broadcasts the live final on Swedish national television.

The global winner will be awarded €50,000, while the team in second place will receive €30,000 and €20,000 will be presented to the third place finalists.

In 2015, Keltruck’s Nottingham branch won the UK finals, European finals and achieved second place in the global final in Sweden.
