IVECO, the brand of Iveco Group that designs, manufactures, and markets heavy, medium, and light-duty trucks, announces that its flagship heavy-duty truck, the IVECO S-Way (Model Year 2024 or MY24), has received confirmation by TÜV SÜD that it offers a fuel consumption reduction of up to 10.54% compared to its predecessor (Model Year 2022). This achievement underscores IVECO’s ongoing commitment to delivering cost-efficient and sustainable transport solutions to its customers.
TÜV SÜD is a global organization promoting quality, safety, and sustainability in technical innovations. It confirmed the reduction in fuel consumption following comparisons it conducted on behalf of IVECO on equivalent models from the IVECO S-Way current model and its predecessor. These tests, performed on the same route and by the same drivers, confirm the fuel performance of the IVECO S-Way MY24, highlighting its excellent efficiency within the heavy-duty truck segment.

The tested vehicle was equipped with the new High-Performance Engine Brake, which combines reduced weight and excellent braking performances as an alternative to a conventional retarder, enhancing the fuel efficiency as well as the new long rear axle ratio of 2.17, and the state-of-the-art GPS predictive driving system, now integrating a lateral control strategy to grant outstanding driving comfort together and fuel economy.
