Developed in collaboration with Vipal, this new tyre is designed to optimise fleet efficiency, range and whole-life costs... without sacrificing the durability needed for tough operations.
The first production tyres are now hitting the road for real-world testing with key partner fleets as we continue to support the transition to cleaner, more sustainable transport.
The company said the new tyre also generates less noise, complementing the quieter operation of electric refuse vehicles and helping to reduce environmental impact in urban areas.
Although lighter than Vaculug's existing Waste Protektor WZY2 tyre, the new design retains full sidewall protection on both sides to withstand the rigours of kerb strikes and other hazards associated with refuse collection work.
Vaculug said the launch reflects its commitment to supporting fleet operators through the transition to zero-emission transport with products designed to improve efficiency without compromising durability or safety.
