Operating from 17 locations across London, the South East, East of England and the Midlands, the dealer group had double reason to celebrate after securing the hotly-contested New Vehicle Sales Award on the same night – in recognition of its strong sales performance in both the rigid truck and tractor unit markets.

The last 12 months has seen Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East complete a £2m refurbishment of its flagship London South dealership, transforming the Croydon site into Volvo Trucks’ first net-zero dealership in the UK. It also became the first dealership in the network to be certified as a zero waste to landfill operation.

Other key achievements include securing the highest volume of electric retail sales of any Volvo Trucks dealership in the country, at the same time as introducing the first 100 per cent electric Volvo Action Service van into operation.

Its sales teams also recorded one of the lowest average VECTO scores of all dealers, measured across total truck sales, highlighting the attention to detail paid in helping customers fine-tune vehicle specifications for optimum efficiency.

Christian Coolsaet, Managing Director of Volvo Trucks UK & Ireland, says: “Winning this award is the ultimate recognition of a good job, well done. The South & East team have been focused on introducing a wealth of upgrades across their business, whilst at the same time continuing to deliver the best possible customer experience. This really shows when you consider the volume of business they’ve been signing, both with new and repeat customers.”

Stuart Potter, Operations Director for Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East, says: “This award is for every single one of our team, who work so hard to keep our customers moving as safely, efficiently, and profitably as possible. Winning the title is a huge motivation to continue the journey we are on, looking for continuous improvement at every possible step.”

Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East was formed three years ago with the merging of two wholly owned dealer groups. Today the business has operations in Banbury, Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridge, Coventry, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Leicester, London Heathrow, London North, London South, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Peterborough, Reading, Thetford and Wellingborough, supported by its own specialist body and paint shop in Loughborough.
