WMS Service Centre & Commercial Vehicles named Authorised Repairer for Isuzu Truck in Guernsey

The company has recently moved from a 4,000 sq ft facility to a newly refurbished 1.5-acre site, ensuring it has the available workshop space to manage both light commercial and heavy truck repairs and maintenance.

Lightweight and manoeuvrable, the Isuzu Truck range is ideally suited to Guernsey’s 260 miles of tight, winding roads. Having opened in 2007, the WMS team has 16 years of experience working on commercial vehicles, making them the perfect candidate to take on Isuzu Truck Authorised Repairer status.

Richard Le Poidevin, Managing Director of WMS, says: “When Rabeys Commercial Vehicles closed its doors in early 2023, we became one of the few remaining businesses with the capabilities to service and maintain commercial vehicles on Guernsey. With plenty of Isuzu truck operators looking for reliable support, we took the opportunity to move into their vacated site.

“We have worked on Isuzu trucks for years, but our previous location was tight for space, and we were having to order parts from a dealership on the mainland, which was struggling to keep up with our demand. Becoming an authorised repairer was the next logical step, and means we now have a direct link for ordering parts straight from the manufacturer.”

Having completed an overhaul of the site, WMS has installed six ramps for light commercial vehicle maintenance, alongside two sets of column lifts for medium and heavy truck work, with space available for further expansion. The company has more than doubled its workforce to prepare for the move, taking on additional technicians and back-office staff, alongside continuing to support its three apprentices.
