We are recruiting for an Alternative Drivetrain Specialist to join our team in Manchester on a full time permanent basis.
In this role you will:
Support the Alternative Drivetrain Manager in developing, communicating and deploying technical training initiatives across the MAN dealer network. Research, design and implement industry-leading eMobility programmes and procedures for Alternative Drivetrain personnel, Wholly Owned branches, Private Capital Dealers and customers. Assist in developing safe working practices for High Voltage vehicles, ensuring alignment with network auditing requirements. Create and maintain operational programmes from vehicle delivery through to customer handover, including bodybuilder support. Ensure High Voltage tools, equipment and component availability within the battery room to support repairs and operational requirements. Collaborate with Technical Support teams and network technicians to diagnose and resolve technical issues within workshops. Provide support to the MAN CSM eMobility network, including warranty repair quality assurance and High Voltage battery room operations. Monitor quality system non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions where required. Maintain accurate records and provide information in a timely and professional manner. Promote health and safety best practice while enhancing MAN's reputation and supporting commercial objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
An engineering qualification and/or completed technical apprenticeship, ideally with Level 3 HGV and Level 3 IMI High Voltage Technician qualifications. A minimum of five years' post-qualification experience within the automotive or HGV industry. Strong technical knowledge of HGV operations and alternative drivetrain technologies. Previous experience mentoring, coaching or delivering technical training programmes. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage audiences at all levels. Experience creating and delivering both one-to-one and group training sessions and supporting materials. Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Word. A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders. A willingness to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays. LGV Class 1 licence (preferred).
