Apprentice Commercial Parts PersonDAF ShrewsburyFavourable rate of pay over and above that of the usual Apprentice ratesWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm i.e. 40 hours per week, one hour for lunch (unpaid).An opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Apprentice Commercial Parts Person to join our busy Parts Sales Team at Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury. This is ideal for someone who wants to enter the profession and go far; it is an ideal opportunity to learn the role inside out.As this role offers a varied workload, the Apprentice will develop skills in a number of areas including processing of customer orders, sourcing parts, and following all relevant procedures. You will be working within a large team consisting of customer facing, telesales and parts sales and will be trained to use a host of commercial parts identification aids, as well as a computerised stock management system. The successful candidate will be enrolled into a two-year DAF Apprenticeship programme which will involve regular visits to DAF Trucks headquarters for your training and development.Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.Ideally, we are looking for:Good communication skills.Computer literate.DAF’s apprentice facilitator would also require an application form to be completed as well as taking basic Math's and English tests.
