**Up to £34,000 (dependent on experience) + £4,000 car allowance**Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation contracted to several market-leading automotive manufacturers.We are currently seeking to recruit an Automotive Technical Trainer (Apprenticeships) to join our team on the Mercedes-Benz retailer apprenticeship programme, based in Milton Keynes.The Apprenticeship Programme is responsible for the development of hundreds of apprentices across the Mercedes-Benz Car, Van, and Truck retail networks in the UK. For more information, please visit the website at: https://www.mercedes-benztraining.co.uk/mercedes-benz-academy-programme.aspxPurpose of JobWorking as a part of a larger team, and reporting into the Lead Trainer, the Automotive Technical Trainer (Apprenticeships) will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality learning programmes, ensuring that apprentices remain on track to achieve their respective qualifications and for maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.Qualifications & ExperienceQualified Technician at Level 3 (EHV certification desirable)Teaching qualification/experience (PTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, TAP, Cert Ed or NVQ equivalent qualification desirable) - training can be providedFull Driving LicenseRelevant Health & Safety Qualification (desirable)First Aid at Work Qualification (desirable)Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality & Diversity training (desirable)Recent manufacturer workshop experience (desirable)Strong awareness of new automotive technologies and innovation, including electric vehicles (EV qualification, desirable)Competent/experienced in using MS software packagesExcellent communicator (verbal and written)Personal QualitiesStrong ‘Customer First’ ethicPassion for training and development of othersMotivated by their own professional developmentExcellent team playerSelf-motivatedKey Responsibilities:Deliver high quality, engaging and effective Apprentice training to Mercedes-Benz training delivery stadardsMaintain quality, standardisation and processes in line with Mercedes-Benz requirementPrepare the learning environment and resources (including setting up the workshop vehicles with training faults)Track, measure and monitor learner progression, working with the wider team (including Regional Development Coaches) to provide stretch, and additional support as requiredAssist with development of new training material as requiredDevelop and embed functional skills across all training deliveryProduce off the job training reports for employers and RDCsEnsure that personal development is maintained and attend relevant updates sessions as instructed, and required by the roleUse all resources in an approved, safe and efficient mannerWork to timely and overall EPA completion targets with your apprentice case loadPromote a positive culture and promote the Mercedes-Benz brand in everything that you doEnsure all of the training adheres to Health and Safety standards, Safeguarding and PreventAct as an ambassador for the Mercedes-Benz Apprenticeship Programme, proactively demonstrating good practice and the brand valuesObserve all Mercedes-Benz policies and proceedures, as well as Ofsted and ESFA requirementsAll other administrative, delivery, and assessment activities as required by Mercedes-BenzSalary & BenefitsUpto £34,000 (dependent on experience) + £4,000 car allowance25 Days Paid Annual Leave.
