About the role

Location: Ely, GB, CB6 3NXPosition Type: ProfessionalFrontline HGV Technician - Ely Cambridge£2,000 signing bonus!£22 per hour dependent upon experience & skill setFlexible working hours with core hours - 0800hrs to 1600hrs Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday as required @ overtime time and a half )Van provided (for use in working hours) Are you a skilled and motivated technician looking for your next opportunity? Who are youExperience of working on Bus, Coach and TrucksQualified HGV/PSV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).Experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and repairs.Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first attitude.Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit teamGood customer service skills as you will be working remotely on customer sitesWe can offer youVan provided for use in working hours (can be taken home due to remote working)25 days holiday + bank holidays raising to 30 days with service£2,000 signing bonus payableEnhanced paternity/maternity/foster leavehealthcare plan with access to dental insuranceReferral schemes Generous company pension planmany discounts for yourself, family and friends including gym menberships, travel, hotel, theme park days plus many more!Ongoing training and career development What will you doKey responsibilities within the role… To pro-actively visit bus & coach customers within the dealership area (or agreed territory) to build relationships and raise awareness of Frontline services.To pro-actively prospect for and seize opportunities for new / additional retail work (service & parts)To pro-actively plan and load own workload in order to achieve agreed targetsTo provide superior diagnostic and repair skills in support of customer problems / needs.To take responsibility for field based commercial decisions with customers.To work within locally agreed targets / objectives.To provide daily feedback to Frontline Support manager on any non-productive hoursTo pro-actively support other Frontline technicians in the regionTo provide temporary cover for other Frontline technicians (holiday, illness, training etc)To attend Frontline and Bus & Coach Commercial crew meetings when necessary.To provide feedback on customer visits / needs to help develop understanding of customer needs and identify opportunities for addition product / services for the future.To ensure that routine work / repairs are directed back to the dealership (especially from mega carriers)To actively and consciously work in line with our Customer Commitments by providing industry leading levels of customer service and technical support.To work within the SHEQ guidelines (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) set out in the company policies and help the company achieve its objectives in these areas.We value your data privacy and therefore do not accept applications via mail.
