HGV Class 1 Driver category C+E (Night Shift) / Workshop AssistantWe currently have an exciting position as an HGV Class 1 Driver C+E (Collection and Delivery) to work night shift in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Birtley.As an HGV Class 1 Driver, we can offer you:Local work, no TrampingAn hourly rate of up to £14ph (depending on your Class 1 driving experience)Tuesday – Friday night shift working hoursExcellent DAF Training & development opportunities – in house and manufacturer’s24 days holiday (including statutory)Employee Of the Month CompetitionEmployee Assistance ProgramPensionDeath in Service Life Insurance SchemeFree onsite parkingCycle to work schemeThe HGV Class 1 Driver / Workshop Assistant responsibilities include (but not limited to):This is a duel role - Collection / delivery of vehicles from / to customers within Birtley and the surrounding area. Ad hoc longer journeys to other Ford & Slater dealerships.Occasional road testing of vehicles (subject to licence restrictions).Steam cleaning Trucks.General Workshop caretaker duties when not driving.Working Tuesday to Friday, 7pm – 7am.Who are we looking for as our HGV Class 1 Driver / Workshop Assistant:You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence category C+E (ideally clean).Be a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills.Any mechanical / workshop knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.PC Literate.Apply today to start your HGV Class 1 Driver journey with Ford & Slater.No agencies please.
