About the role
Work and Working HoursYou have to be fully flexible or willing to work nights.We guarantee 10 hours per shift pay even if you work 4, which you will do on some occasions, you even get paid to sit at home if your shift is cancelled.You have to be fully flexible.Shift Patterns:Various shift patterns availableAverage shift length 10 – 12 hoursDays / Afternoon / Night shiftsFull time / Part timeHGV Driver Benefits:Driver is not required to assist with any unloading/loading.Driving only from fulfillment centre to fulfillment centreTraction work only– drop/swap trailers. On average 3 swaps per shift, working with boxed trailers onlyPaid for full shift regardlessFlexible Working hours28 days paid holidaysCompany pensionOn-site ParkingOver time available each weekWe have access to the latest truck technology both on safety and sustainability.There is a great culture of inclusivity and support for diversityHGV Driver Requirements:Hold a valid commercial Driving License with the Correct Categories C+EHave a Professional Driving Qualification called the Full Driver Certificate of Professional CompetenceHold a Digital Tachograph / Smart CardPass a background check (below) to the extend it is permitted by the applicable lawPass a standard drug and alcohol test (below) to the extend it is permitted by the applicable lawBe able to speak & read English satisfactorilyHave a maximum of 6 penalty points in the Driver’s License (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)Approved drivers consist of drivers with BGC results as “Meets Requirements” and drug and alcohol tests with negative results.HGV Driver Responsibilities:Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver trailers to fulfillment centersInteract with stakeholders in a professional mannerComplete daily maintenance checks on delivery trucks and notify manager of any issuesDrive in inclement weather, such as light snowMaintain electronic logs to track routes and deliveriesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: From £36,400.00 per yearBenefits:On-site parkingReferral programmeCompany pensionSchedule:10 hour shiftSupplemental pay types:Bonus schemeExperience:Driving a Goods Vehicle: 2 years (preferred)driving: 5 years (preferred)Licence/Certification:Driver CPC (preferred)Work Location: In person DSK Logistics is an equal opportunity employer based in Bolton.
