About the role
HGV Technicianc£18.00 per hour(Negotiable DOE)Annual Salary = c£37,500.00+ optional overtime to boost earnings to an average total of c£21,000.00TOTAL AVERAGE EARNINGS c£58,500.00Day shift (40 hours per week)Weeks 1 to 3 = 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday to FridayWeek 4 = 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Monday to FridayApprox. 15 hours overtime available each week to boost earnings at £27.00 per hourExperience required:You must have previous HGV technical experienceIdeally qualified to level three (NVQ/City & Guilds) however, we are happy to look at time-served mechanics (those with lots of experience but no formal qualifications)You must have knowledge of modern diagnostic systemsThe main duties include:Carrying out inspection, servicing, repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe mannerInvestigate and diagnose faultsReport findingsCarry out all repairs to the current manufacturer’s standards (IVECO)Planning work, managing diagnosticsCarry out all repairs to the highest standards and with the most effective use of timeAdditional information:20 days paid holiday per year which can increase to 25 days with length of service (plus 8 bank holidays)Life insurance at 2 x basic salary, starting on day 1Retail discounts – ask Halo Personnel for more detailsEmployer pension contributions through the “NEST” scheme after 3 months probationary period (At 3% contribution per week)Share-save scheme, managed by Yorkshire Building Society - Schemes are currently run on a 3-year cycleFree onsite, secured parking and on a main bus route for those without their own transport Our client’s business has been established for over 50 years, it started as a family run business which through expansion and success is now part of a PLC Group.
