About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Technician to join our professional and friendly team at Greenhous DAF Shrewsbury.As part of the Greenhous Group, one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle dealer networks, we are committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards for our customers.Working Hours: Alternating Shifts, i.e. 39 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid).Week 1, Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 3.30pm, Friday, 7.00am to 2.30pm.Week 2, Monday 2.00pm to 11.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday, 2.30pm to 10.30pm, Friday 2.00pm to 10.30pm, Saturday 8.00am to 1.00pm (paid as overtime)Salary: Starting amount from £40,000 per annum (this will be dependent on skills, qualifications and experience, this will be discussed at interview stage)Key Responsibilities:Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on HGVs.Diagnose faults using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment.Complete MOT preparation and inspections.Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer and DVSA standards.Accurately complete job cards and service documentation.Work effectively as part of a skilled workshop team.Ideally, we are looking for:NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.Previous experience as an HGV Technician.Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.A full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality workmanship.In return we’ll offer:As a permanent Greenhous employee, you will be entitled to:30 Days Holiday Including 8 Bank HolidaysCompany Sick Pay That Increases With Length Of ServicePension With Greenhous ContributionCareer Development OpportunitiesEmployee Discounts On A Range Of Products And Services Including Holidays, Days Out And Supermarket ShopsQualified Mental Health First AidersFree Will Writing ServiceFree Mortgage Advice ServiceFree Eye Tests For VDU UsersFree Flu jabs if you are ineligible through the NHSOn-Site Parking (Site Specific)Cycle To Work SchemePeriod Positive WorkplaceEAP – Employee Assistance Program Greenhous is firmly established as one of the largest dealer groups in the UK and has over 100 years’ experience in the franchised dealer world.
