We currently have a vacancy for an LCV / Vehicle Technician at our Chesterfield depot.As an LCV / Vehicle Technician, we can offer you:Competitive hourly rate depending on experienceOvertime at premium ratesExcellent Training & Development opportunities – In house and Manufacturer22 days holiday (plus statutory), rising to 25 days after 5 years serviceEmployee Of The Month CompetitionEmployee Assistance ProgramCareer Progression OpportunitiesPensionDeath in Service Life Insurance SchemeCycle to work schemeWho are we looking for as an LCV / Vehicle Technician:Ideally, you will have the following skills but training can be provided:Previous experience working as a Technician / Mechanic within the Car, LCV, Van, HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car or an associated sector.Qualified to Level 3 in vehicle repair (or similar)Technical knowledge ensuring maintenance and repairs are carried out to manufacturer’s procedures.Sound knowledge to accurately diagnosis faults.Carry safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT's.Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork including accurate completion of job cards and service records.General level of computer literacy is advantageous.Full UK driving licence.Working PatternMonday to Friday: 8am – 5pmAlternate Saturday mornings: 8am – MiddayThe LCV / Vehicle Technician role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):Servicing and maintaining a wide variety of Cars, LCV’s and Vans. Carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT's. Fault Diagnostics. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
