Job Description – Service Manager – HullWe are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Service Manager to support the General Manager in running an efficient and driven workshop in our Hull Depot.The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong industry knowledge and previous experience of running a busy workshop.You will be efficient and organised with an eye for detail and the ability to influence and motivate your team to realise their full potential.You will have full responsibility for delivering consistently high levels of customer service and be a strong role model. Business demands require an individual able to perform well in an agile, fast-paced environment, able to multitask whilst supporting the team.Responsible for the running of the automotive workshop, reporting to General Manager.Planning and co-ordinating technicians’ workload, meeting customer requirements and maximising workshop utilisation and profitabilityCross check and sign off technicians hours/timesheetsLiaising with General Manager and Service Reception of weekly resource planning/available workshop hoursIdentify and report warranty repairs and additional repairs, upselling where appropriateInform and consult on vehicle progress to the front of house teamManage the flow of information between the workshop and the reception, whilst delivering excellent customer service at all timesKeep customers informed of progress of their vehicleManage site resourcesProvide technical support to workshop and service advisorsManage workshop health and safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policiesWelfare of workshop staffStrong Team LeaderKnowledge of commercial vehicles (e.g. Merc / Iveco)Ensure checklists and procedures are followedEnsure QC procedures in place and followedReceive and inspect customers’ vehicles for repairs in-line with company proceduresRequirements of the individualMinimum Level 3 NVQ or similar in Automotive Service/ RepairStrong automotive heritage with workshop / service centre management experienceExceptional level of workmanship and customer servicePrevious experience working with LCV 's an advantageStrong Leadership skillsClear thinker, demonstrating the ability to stay focussed within a busy environmentA full clean driving licenceGood organisational skillsJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingReferral programmeSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental pay types:Performance bonusAbility to commute/relocate:Hull, HU9 1SD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Automotive service / workshop management: 2 years (required)Work authorisation:United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In person BP Rolls is established as one of the largest family-owned businesses of our kind in the UK.
