What you will doAt Aberdeen, you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will: Work closely with the team in order to create high levels of morale and focus to ensure that work is completed in timely manner and with excellence in quality. Effective communication with the Workshop Controller and CSR's to ensure that technicians have solid job specifications and time budget prior to work commencing. Ensuring that customer expectations are manage at all times by working with each stage of the Genuine Volvo Service process. Maximising the shifts performance through effective problem solving, coaching and development. Who are you?Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring: City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Motor Vehicle TechnologyAbility to manage and motivate a team of technicians in their daily activities. Be able to coach and provide support and guidance to your team of technicians. Be able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally To have questioning, listening and information gathering skillsBe able to modify your approach in specific circumstance to ensure a positive outcome Be able to understand and analyse technical issues and propose appropriate solutions Be able to delegate work to the appropriate personnel Be able to operate GDS and Impact Systems, specific to the GVS process stages Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel What’s in it for you?We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits, At a glance what you can be part of from day one!
