About the role

A new opportunity has arisen to join the business as a Workshop Controller at our DAF Willenhall site.Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesDealing with customers bringing their vehicle for recall, service or repair.Providing feedback to customers on their service or repair, including pricing of additional work when required, sending estimates, explaining the reasons fully and competently.Managing all staff within the department, communicating instructions to technicians and ensuring that work is completed in a timely manner.Various other administrative duties.Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Special RequirementsA working technical understanding of vehicles in order to clearly explain repairs or additional repairs to customers.Customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations and an ability to up-sell our services and products where appropriate.Strong IT skills.Awareness of warranty guidelines, service intervals, etc.Be organised, efficient and able to multi-task efficiently.Be flexible, energised and a team player.Previous experience in a similar role.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week on alternating shifts. One in three Saturday’s mornings.
