STARK feedback for DAF as drivers get chance to design next generation of HGVs

Mark is our industry news editor, tracking market trends across the UK HGV dealer and haulage sectors.

Representing Jewson JP Corry Jewson Partnership Solutions , Jewson Major Build Solutions , FRAZER and MINSTER, our drivers took part in an innovation workshop and factory tour, sharing first-hand insights on what works well on today’s vehicles and where future improvements could be made.

Their feedback covered everything from vehicle ergonomics to drop-side body and crane design, helping DAF explore ways to enhance both the driving experience and operational performance.

This opportunity reflects something we firmly believe: our drivers are experts in what they do. Every day, they safely deliver materials to customers across the UK, bringing professionalism, care and practical knowledge that can only come from experience on the road.

As Darren O'Donnell STARK UK Fleet Manager, said: "Our drivers do a really important job. They’re the face of our company and look after our customers’ deliveries with care and with pride."

We value their expertise, which is why we’re committed to ensuring their voices are heard. From contributing to the design of future vehicles with DAF to helping create the Jewson livery seen on roads across the UK today, our drivers continue to play an important role in shaping the future of our business.

A huge thank you to Darren O'Donnell, Ranald Forbes, Shaun Patrick, David Ryan, Andrew Davies, Bernie Wogan, Daniel Green , Roy James, Steve Pike, Mark Edwards, Paul Doherty, Stuart Yates and Pat Davidson and to @DAF Trucks for recognising the incredible insight our drivers bring.
